Lemon-Cream Cheese Cutouts

A tasty alternative for a cutout cookie!

Pairs great with this Royal Icing recipe on top!
Ingredients Quantity
All-Purpose Flour 2 1/4 cups
Ground Cinnamon 3/4 tsp
Allspice 1/4 tsp
Ground Nutmeg 1/8 tsp
Ground Cloves 1/8 tsp
Salt 1/8 tsp
Butter, softened 2/3 cup
Cream Cheese, softened 1-3 oz package
Sugar 1/2 cup
Milk 3 tbsp
Grated Lemon Peel 1 1/2 tsp
Directions
Stir together flour, spices, and salt.
In a medium bowl, mix together butter, cream cheese, and sugar until well combined.
Beat in milk and lemon peel.
Add dry ingredients, beating a low speed just until combined.
Cover and chill for 2-3 hours.
On lightly floured surface, roll out dough to about 1/8-inch thickness.
Cut into shapes with favorite cutters.
Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
Cool on wire racks.
*Makes about sixty 2 ½ inch cookies.
