Decorate cookies using the texture mats for a simple way to get an elegant, professional-looking design, or enhance and embellish the textured cookie with fondant or icing accents. First, you roll out your sugar cookie dough and cut out cookies with the cookie cutter. Next, you bake the cookies, let them cool, and frost with buttercream icing. Allow icing to crust...this usually takes 30 - 60 minutes depending on your icing. Place texture mat on top of the crusted icing. Roll over the mat once with a pastry roller or small rolling pin and lift. There should be a beautiful imprint on the surface of the icing.
